Car wouldn't start at lunch , driving fine this morning. It's turning over but not starting, no light on the dash. Checked under hood and coolant out so topped up. Any ideas? Car wasn't over heating etc.

I will start with the obvious, I presume it has plenty of petrol?
Could be fuel starvation from fuel pump failing.
Is the engine fully turning over trying to start?

yep plenty of fuel, as i said there were no symptoms of anything, drove it to work and home then, going back in after lunch wouldn't start. Yes it's turning over, thought it might have been battery but radio is on and lights are working fine. Then i checked under bonnet and saw coolant reservoir empty. But car hasn't overheated. It's only used as a run around so wouldn't be on any long trips.
