I'll admit I've a very short fuse, I'm so easily wound up, it's funny, especially if caught off guard.

But if Im aware people are on the wind up I can shrug my shoulders and go nyeh

So are you impatient and restless or slow to anger and rich in mercy?

Do you get annoyed easy? 65 votes

I'm the total opposite. When about words anyway. But when in a car I can get upset quite easily.

Mine is not too short. I would rarely blow up in a temper.
Know a few people who do though...it is very unnerving especially if you cannot see that they are about to blow their top.

Mine is quite long but you should run for cover if I'm close to blowing.

It's inversely proportional to the level of idiocy I'm dealing with at any given time.

    Mellow, nearly always

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,477 ✭✭✭Riddle101

My temper varies from time to time. Sometimes I can be quite mellow and cool, but there are times when something gets to me that causes me to lose it. It doesn't help that i'm quite emotional and tend to react to things as if I have a mental switch in my head that instantly makes me change moods.

It's just a display of incompetence
Very mildly amusing to induce them into severity though

    Current record: seizure

Were going to go for car crash but ethics kicked in

Much the same.. generally it takes a LOT to annoy/wind me up but when driving I find I've a very low tolerance for muppetry like lane-weavers/undertaking, tailgating, dawdlers/lane-hogging, people who make turns/lane changes without indicating or at the last second, people who don't indicate on roundabouts, idiots who don't dip their main beams when approaching traffic at night (seems to be a major thing on motorways) etc..

It might be that I do a lot of long-distance/motorway driving every week and so encounter this stuff more.

Hmm, actually the more I think about it......

    Depends on the situation.

I only blow my fuse when I can afford to...which means I'm doing it at all really.

What the fúck did you just fúcking say about me, you little b!tch? I’ll have you know I graduated top of my class in the Navy Seals, and I’ve been involved in numerous secret raids on Al-Quaeda, and I have over 300 confirmed kills. I am trained in gorilla warfare and I’m the top sniper in the entire US armed forces. You are nothing to me but just another target. I will wipe you the fúck out with precision the likes of which has never been seen before on this Earth, mark my fúcking words. You think you can get away with saying that sh!t to me over the Internet? Think again, fúcker. As we speak I am contacting my secret network of spies across the USA and your IP is being traced right now so you better prepare for the storm, maggot. The storm that wipes out the pathetic little thing you call your life. You’re fúcking dead, kid. I can be anywhere, anytime, and I can kill you in over seven hundred ways, and that’s just with my bare hands. Not only am I extensively trained in unarmed combat, but I have access to the entire arsenal of the United States Marine Corps and I will use it to its full extent to wipe your miserable ass off the face of the continent, you little sh!t. If only you could have known what unholy retribution your little “clever” comment was about to bring down upon you, maybe you would have held your fúcking tongue. But you couldn’t, you didn’t, and now you’re paying the price, you goddamn idiot. I will sh!t fury all over you and you will drown in it. You’re fúcking dead, kiddo.

I would only loose my temper if someone was trying to physically harm me or mine. I don't understand road rage at all, so what if it took you ten seconds longer to get out of a side road, or you missed a set of lights, big deal.
You see people loose their shít over some crap or other in shop - wtf is that all about, just get some different crap!
People getting stressed and panicky over work - nah, in one ear and out the other with me, there'll be more shít to panic about tomorrow no matter what you do!

Not sure it is possible to annoy me any more - though I do notice that if any significant time passes without getting laid that it feels like it might be getting edgey again after all.

Meh, depends who I'm dealing with. I'm patient with most people but there are some people who behave like morons. I'm not as patient with them :)

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 23,646 ✭✭✭✭qo2cj1dsne8y4k

I'm not patient at all. If I send a message or an email at say 12 o clock, I'm the kind of person that wants a reply at 11:59

I can't stand someone with an attitude. There's a polite way or saying something and there's being a c unt about it. I don't care how much I need something, I'll happily cut my nose off to spite my face if the person I need something from is rude to me.

I would have a temper, wouldn't take a lot for me to lose my sh1t, but i usually calm down very quickly.

I thought this was going to be a thread about penises! :pac:

My fuse is quite long. I do get angry now and then but rarely scream, shout or other hysterics. Life has taught me to pick my battles.

I'm usually grand but now and again will have a bit of a rant.

I'd say I'm pretty laidback generally. I have my moments though.

Public rudeness gets me every time. Whether it's someone acting obnoxiously on a bus or tube or a sales assistant, bank clerk etc being a dick. I tend to react very directly and aggressively. I can't stand people who have no manners or respect and will treat them with the exact level of respect they are showing others i.e none. I've had a few shouting matches over the years.

There are three things all wise men fear: the sea in storm, a night with no moon, and the anger of a gentle man.

    In short.. F off.

Really though, I love ye all. Merry holiday of your choosing.

Mine used to be brutal, but after smashing 3 phones, 2 guitars and 2 laptops I learned how to control it. Expensive lesson.

I used to have a very short temper when I was younger, but realised it wasn't doing me any favours. Now I'm so laid back I'm horizontal. Problems are much more easily solved when you're calm, and a lot of things never become problems at all.

Sometimes I work myself into such a rage that I roll my eyes sarcastically - and don't even care who notices.

I rarely - very rarely - lose my temper, only when I've been exposed to ridiculous levels of irritation. It takes a lot to rile me.

I have a very short fuse, to the point in that moment of madness I loose control and haven't a notion what I'm doing, I have know learned that before I kick off that I get this very weird feeling before it happens. Talking has actually helped and I know what this feeling is when I feel it coming on and I can just walk away from the situation, getting straight away from the problem helps and clearing the head such as a 5 minute walk helps alot!
