Robbery of the Year Darley's Perez vs Maurice Hooker also Kazakh boxer getting robbed in the Olympics deserves a mention it was so bad

Had a think and can't for the life of me come up with a decent card of the year contender. Been an awful lot of ****e.

Fight of the Year - Vargas v Salido
KO of the Year - Wilder v Szpilka
Best Card of the Year - Genuinely struggling to think of one.
Upset of the Year - Smith v Fonfara
Trainer of the Year - Shane McGuigan
Most Improved Fighter of the Year - Struggling with this one too. Possibly go with Robert Easter who stepped up a few levels and looked good. Bradley Skeete had an impressive year too.
One Fight you want to see in 2017 - Canelo v GGG
Fighter to watch out for in 2017 - Mikey Garcia will be a fighter of the year contender and break into top 10 P4P territory

Conlan - Nelson definitely the best domestic scrap I've seen this year. Worth an honourable mention.

Fighter to watch out for in 2017 - Josh Warrington & Errol Spence
Letdown of the year - Josh Warrington not fighting for a world title. Beating Amagasa was a great performance and was then way too good for Paddy Hyland. He has recently left Matchroom/Sky to move to Frank Warren and BT/Boxnation. I assume this explains why he has been out of the ring for a bit. Surprised by the move as he has the support and style to be a big ticket item for Hearn.
