waterford branch of astronomy ireland was set up a few months ago, they have had a couple of public viewings in the peoples park. they had their first official meeting a couple of months ago in new ross.

    some more info:

just find an area that gives you a good view of the horizon and away from city lights.

did it come with instructions at all?

best of luck with it, great to see people interested in this area.

The instructions look like something that could build a nuclear bomb!
