Hi I'm renovating a house with floor joists
9x2 spanning 4.9m in one room and 5.3m in the other room. They're spaced roughly 380 apart centre to centre.
Do they need to be replaced with 9x3 or maybe a support beam or just replace with the same size joists?.

Done similar job recently.we put 9x3 every 2m into pockets in wall and hung 9x2 400mm apart between these on joist hangers.not a mm of bounce when finished
