Slope rating & handicap system changes

    Just read a report in the new ILGU yearbook saying that ILGU, GUI and CONGU are in discussions with the USGA to bring in Slope ratings and avg 8/20 system into place. They are calling it WWH (world wide handicap).

    Apparentely it was originally supposed to come in 2018 but has now been postponed to 2020.

    This is the first time I have seen in print from an offical source that this is going ahead.

    It was referred to a number of times as the Leinster Golf AGM. It will be interesting to see the changes alright.
