Has anyone here gotten the bootloop issue on their Nexus 5X?

Just wondering what the repair process was like?
Happened to my 5X yesterday. I've contacted Google but they're slow to reply.

afaik they arent repairing the bootloop any more, so it may be a replacement or a refund

I've been looking on Reddit and they're still repairing bootlooped devices(well, trying and failing). Very few refunds for people. I'm hoping for a refund though.

I've been emailing Google Support but it's a slow process. I was hoping someone from Ireland had already gone through the process.

I don't know if it's any good to your model Nexus but there is a tool for the standard Nexus 5 that downgrades and returns to 4.4 or 5.0 stock for a bootlooping normal Nexus 5, it's over on XDA, not sure if it will work on the 5X though...

It will probably wipe everything but should get the phone back from the dead (providing it works with 5x) it could save you sending it back to Google, there is a drop down for phone I can see in the screenshot so maybe it does work...

Got an email from Google this morning with a custom link to order a brand new Nexus 5x from the Google Play store. There will be a pending charge on my account until I return my broken device. I guess they still have stock in Europe

This has happened to my Nexus 5X just this morning - had a quick google and seen I wasn't the only one.

I have emailed customer support at Google, just waiting on a reply. Would love a refund - it seems they are hanging on to the phones for ages waiting for parts, I really don't want to go down that road! Would rather have my money back and get a new phone as soon as.

Be interested to hear whats happening with everyone else regarding this.

Update: Spoke to Google and I'm getting a replacement - should be shipped out today. Just hope this one doesn't go the same way #fingerscrossed.

I am having this same problem since New Years Eve. Have emailed google's customer service and I'm waiting to hear back from them. My phone is 14 months old, so hopefully they will replace it (Im assuming the warranty is 12 months).

The warranty in Ireland is 2 years. I think all countries in the EU(except UK) get a 2 year warranty.

Just as an update, they are sending me a brand new phone, which I am happy enough about. Have to send the old one back to them.
