Dalkey seems like a bad neighbourhood.

I see where another multi millionaire resident of Dalkey has been having a court battle with his neighbour. It seems a lot of the residents there don't get on very well. With a bad athmosphere like that in the place I guess house prices must be fairly OK.

I'd say their Residents Association Christmas Party is a barrel of laughs

    Gosh, that sounds positively awful.

Poor things arguing over outdoor bathing areas when the rest of Dublin have had indoor bathrooms for years now. Isn't there some sort of grant these unfortunates could avail of?

Mona Lisa was an ok movie. Apart from that, I don't really care for his stuff.

I wish somebody had objected to that yoke that Jim Sheridan built on Coliemore Road. Oscar-winning film or not, it defies belief that the neighbours let him destroy their sea view on what is Dublin's nicest road.

You can't really see much of it from land though. It's low rise and doesn't obstruct the view any more than what was previously there.

It could be considered to mar the landscape if you were viewing it from a boat but it doesn't obstruct or destroy the sea view even when you're standing right beside it.

    that's not too bad.

This ****er on the other hand http://www.ossiansmyth.ie/new-plans-for-bulloch-harbour/

Neil Jordan sounds like the typical type of Dalkey resident that engages in this sort of thing. Comes from the country, made a few quid, moves to Dalkey, thinks he's Billy big bollocks.

Well to be fair. That's the most expensive Street in Dublin. So they are Billy big bollocks.

That's the problem with terraced housing. Your neighbours are just too close on both sides. No peace. If only the rich could buy full private housing.

"A lot" is a bit of an exaggeration to be fair. This is the same case as was reported a year ago in all the papers. Probably the second such case in the area in a number of years.

Really, what about the Van Morrison case, and the Pat Kenny case ?
