You will need to set up a US Psn account and buy US Psn credit.

But yes you can and it will work fine..

Are the old games definitely still available on the playstation store, we actually are buying him a second hand ps3 so he can play the game.

So don't want to buy it and find out the game is gone off the store.

It's listed here anyway

There are tonnes of PS3 games available,they should all be listed on the store,also if they arent digitally available you can pick up from Amazon,Gamestop etc ..

I bought a second hand PS3 for this exact reason, the game is absolute amazing and worth every penny for a fan. Cost me about $17 on the PSN Store. There are up to date rosters available online. Spent about 6 months playing it to death, done with it now but enjoyed it. He'll love it.
