Can anyone recommend a reliable external DVD Writer, powered by USB 3 and that can do all the DVD formats, + and - etc. And where to buy it. Thanks.

Will be upgrading my laptop to one without a DVDRW drive and considering this too. How would the one linked to above compare to a typical built in one speed wise etc I wonder?

Actually, I think this is the one on my current laptop (Dell l502x): https://www.parts-people.com/index.php?action=item&id=13028

It seems pretty similar with 8x dvd and 24x CD!
