    Hi all,

Went for an interview for an internship on Monday - Today I receive an email stating that they have decided to go for someone in a particular course as they feel it would be more suited.

The issue is I am in that particular course - Should I ask for clarification?

Best thing to do is ask for feedback in general - what you could do better next time

Any idea how I should word the email?

Don't email. Call them and ask.

At best, you will get something about how you could present better next time. Most likely you will get polite lies.

Personally, I wouldn't bother because the chance of the latter is very high. But you might strike lucky.

    something along the lines of

''thank you for the opportunity to interview with you. As I have been unsuccessful, I would greatly appreciate any constructive feedback on areas of improvement, in the hope that I could be successful in the future. ''

I think it's better to ask that not to, whatever the outcome. Then you'll know for sure. If they do give you the usual fluffy waffle like Mrs O Bumble just suggested - at least you'll know. and also know if this company is really worth all of this worry or your time..

    Thanks all.

Turns out they made a mistake and I'm a step closer.
