Steel Shed Kits

Hi - Looking for a supplier of steel shed kits to self erect - or even just all the material required with the frame cut to size and can do all the cladding etc myself....thanks...in SE of Ireland.

Most of them are a rip off for what they are as they are too lightweight.My father had an 8x12 one that was demolished by a storm a couple of years ago, everything about them is flimsy. Big bucks for a good one. You'd be better off putting down a pad, framing the structure of the shed and cladding it yourself with corrugated sheets.

In the end I bought steel scrap yard for about €250, treated 3x4 timber side rails and purlins and made the frame ourselves - it helps of course to have a fitter in the family. Got guys in to pour a concrete yard including rebated base for the shed. It'll be 8m x 4m. Getting cladding prices now - about €1800 for standard sheets and going to have it spray foamed inside and board out for about €1000. Versus €4K plus for insulated panels.

Hello, have you decided yet what sort of shed/bought one already?

Like the other poster said the kit ones are crap. So unless you got friends/family are tradesmen/builders/handy with tools, the only option is buy steel shed from companies and get them to install. Unfortunately its does cost a lot.

Here's price from I believe the best steel shed company in the country.

I'm biased cos I got one of their sheds, but I looked at most of the other companies and they pale in comparison to -snip- sheds.
