Apple Cinema Display repair

Hello. Is there anybody browsing boards.ie living in the Ennis area who owns an Apple Cinema Display monitor?

I have a 24" Cinema Display monitor, but it is damaged and not working. It is difficult to diagnose the source of the problem. I took apart the glass and LCD and carefully looked at the inner components. I'm sure the issue is with either the Logic board, the Power supply board, or one of the cables. It's hard to localize it further, and it would do me a great help to swap identical parts to learn which component needs replacing. The Logic board and Power supply board cost over €100 each, and collectively the cables would cost around €50. I don't have up to €250 to spend on replacement parts, so it would be much better if I could localize further the source of the issue by swapping working components.

So if you have a Cinema Display monitor and live in or around Ennis, would you be willing to let me borrow (or purchase) individual components to help me troubleshoot this technical issue? I would pay you for the convenience.

There may be some things you can do to gain some insights with swapping parts -
Is the the MagSafe connection working? Are the USB ports working if you connect the USB cable?

I don't have a MacBook to test the magsafe connection. I'm fairly sure the USB connection of the three-way cable is functional.

Ok. The logic board drives those USB ports - if they're working the logic board is powered and at least partially working. I'd be looking at the LCD and the connections between it and the logic board.

Shining a flashlight directly at the LED display when the screen goes black reveals a faint image. This suggests to me that the LED display is fine, and that the back-light is the issue.

I bought a digital multimeter today to check the voltage at specific points on the boards. I'm not quite sure how to test the voltage of these points, I have to find the chassis point now.

    from the technician guide:

Verify voltage on logic board between test point TP81 (24.5VDC) and chassis ground (GND) is 23.3–25.7 VDC.
Also inspect the logic board and see if anything is burnt, its common to see burning around one of the chips. Board is $91 new on American part stores.

To my eyes the boards look fine. I was told to search for swollen caps/capacitor plague. The AC Inlet has a swollen bubble on the outside metal casing, don't know if that is abnormal, it makes me think 'overheating'. Take a look at these photos. Edit: not able to share links.

I checked the voltage on all the test points and they all report correct.

Any further help anyone can give me?
