Was your deafness caused from your time working as a DJ?

Best job I've ever had was when I worked in a video shop while I was in college. The work was easy and the staff were sound and I could take home as many Dvds as I wanted.

The hours weren't to bad, usually worked till 10pm in the evening or do a day shift at the weekend and maybe have to open up at 12 on the Sunday and work till 6.

The best part though was that I could see the place from my house, happy days.

I like the job I have now but I can't just roll outta bed and walk across the road to work.

I'm an actress. Back in the 80s I played the role of the nun that went 'BAH!' in those public information ads about deafness resulting from Rubella.

Best job ever - getting to shout at kids all day. I think I recognise the OP.

OP sounds like Jay from the Inbetweeners.

    Best job is right now.
Close to home. Good pay. Flexible hours.
Interesting work. Free tea and biscuits.

I worked for a small family company when I was about 18. The people were all great and we'd often go out together at weekends and stuff. At lunch we always use to play cards together in the canteen. It was just a really nice relaxed environment.

summer job in Guinness when I was in college, 2 bottles of beer a day and a friendly production/quality manager who had a tasting tap in his office (come to think of it he had the best job) but didn't mind me having a "sample" while doing my rounds.

A belief in gender identity involves a level of faith as there is nothing tangible to prove its existence which, as something divorced from the physical body, is similar to the idea of a soul. - Colette Colfer

    "Tasting tap".

Is that what he told you it was?

I worked in a weighbridge for a summer a few years back.

1 truck per hour on average came in and I spent the day listening to the radio and reading the newspaper. The money was great as well.
