My daughter's Trajet fan has stopped working. The fuse seems OK. Is it likely to be the resistor failed, or might the AC system stop it working if it was short on gas? Any other likely suspects?

My first thought would be resistor, does it work on the fastest setting and not on the others?

It has speedup/down buttons rather than a rotary dial control, doesn't seem to respond at all
