Their last two albums had a few decent tracks, but were a bit bland and forgettable overall, so I got this with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised at how different it sounds.

Thief of Light is magic I never thought they'd write a song like it, Left Me Standing sounds like (good) Kings of Leon, the title track is one of the best things they've ever done, Battle Cry should be a minute shorter, love the chanting in Irish though, Real Life Dreamers is a bit meh but apart from that there isn't a bad track on this album.

Cormac's vocals are brilliant throughout especially on Tunnel, his best studio performance yet.

I love Everyday Demons and Revival, but this album surpasses both of them especially due to the experimental nature of it, I hope they keep pushing themselves and writing interesting songs like this album in future.

Giving this a blast through now. Really, really enjoying it.

Would love to see them on Slane lineup!
