Hi, bought the UE49KS7000 off you guys last week, great TV! One issue with it, haven't been able to connect any 5 metre HDMI cables. I've two 2.0 cables and both were picked up by the computer but no image.

A 3m cable (too short) has proven there can be a connection between the two.

Is there any special cables I should be getting? Do you have a recommendation....

    Spazdarn,

many thanks for the post and apologies for the delay getting back to you..

lots of 'experts' say that there can be no difference between HDMI cables as they are all 'digital' but in th ereal world we frequently see issues like yours where there are 'handshaking ' issues - we most frequently see them with Projectors where there is an embedded long run of HDMI in the ceiling and it either just does not work or you get an initial image flash....... and then nothing.. PC's can also frequently present issues as they just don't have the ability / current to handshake effectively over longer cable runs.

We would A L W A Y S recommend a decent quality BRANDED HDMI cable for any runs over 3mtrs - by Branded I'm saying Audioquest / QED etc or a dedicated cable / interconnect manufacturer - at the moment without breaking the bank the Audioquest Pearl is an excellent cable but for longer runs I'd recommend an active HDMI such as:

Apologies again for the awful delay getting back to you and drop me a line if I can assist in any way,
