Redoing a root canal. Ok to wait?

I had root canal treatment on my two front teeth 15+ years ago. They weren't crowned at the time and I'm in the process now of internally bleaching them, and will get crowns at a later date. Tbh I'm hoping the bleaching will do for another year or so due to cost. Since starting the treatment, one of them has become sensitive to pressure and has some occasional mild throbbing, but not painful exactly. according to my dentist the x rays show that the root canal on that tooth was done badly and will need to be redone but that it can wait until Im having the crowns put on.

Is it ok to wait? I'm worried I'm going to lose the tooth if I leave it TBH.is it enough to monitor the situation and if it gets worse then do something?
