Bulb for Neff oven

Need to replace the bulb in my Neff single oven. It's a screw-in (E14) 40W bulb that must be able to handle temperatures up to 300 C, it sits inside a removable glass cover. Does anyone know if DID or Power City stock this bulb or do I need to go to a spare parts shop or a mail order website?

It looks like a normal ES bulb (clear glass globe) except it has '300 C' stamped on it to show that it's designed to work in very high temperatures.

The old bulb was Philips and I believe the same bulb is used in Bosch, Neff and Siemens ovens so it's not a Neff part, retail price should be about €12.

Any electrical wholesalers should stock a bulb to suit, may not be the brands u mentioned.

Thanks but I don't know of 'any electrical wholesalers' and are they not trade only? Can you recommend any on the southside - greater Dun Laoghaire area which will sell retail? I have the exact specs. so the brand doesn't matter.

Tesco usually have them, any I've ever seen have been 300 degree so I don't think it's out of the ordinary.

Thanks, your post reminded me that I have a bedside lamp from Ikea with the same bulb - E14 40W and I remember that I bought a two bulb pack for it. Managed to eventually find the pack with one unused bulb still in it, it is indeed an E14 40W bulb but by the looks of the packaging, I must have bought in a pound shop and it's not marked 300 C so I won't chance it.

Will try Tesco tomorrow.

Google "electrical wholesalers" in your area...they're all over the city and they will be the cheapest places to buy what you want. They'll sell an oven bulb to you but my advice is to buy at least two! Bring the old one along just to be sure..

You could try Eurosales or Kellihers in Sandyford Ind Estate or Bowen Electrical in Blackrock.

Cheers for that. Took your advice and bought two, price for the pair was €5.83 incl. VAT in Eurosales.

For anyone searching for this item in the future, just use 'E14 40w Oven' or 'E14 40w 300' as the search argument and you'll find what you're looking for. The brand doesn't matter, it's not a proprietary part but make sure the specs. and/or product description state that it's designed to handle up to 300 degrees C.
