    Hi all,

    Question:

i have Latvian driving licence, i got irish learner permit on category C, passed my driving test. And the question is- how long it takes?does it really take 2 or 3 months to exchange the licence from Latvian to Irish and only then thay will add categories?
Please answer, who did it recently?. i really am not ready to wait till April to start work

It's one operation- you apply for an exchange and add new categories as one transaction.

It generally takes less time at this part of the year so it's a good time. Most of the time is taken by waiting for the foreign authorities to respond so maybe it's possible to plead to them to respond to the NDLS quickly. After the foreign authorities respond, the application can sit around for a while before going through the normal processing system so maybe you can appeal to the RSA to prioritise your application.
