Tax fine but moved house

About 6 months ago I got a fine from the guards in the door for no car tax! I forgot to pay it and 2 months later I bought a new house! The car at the time was registered to the old address, and I taxed it and sold it very shortly after moving into my new home! I have since bought a new car and it is registered to my new address!
I have heard nothing about initial fine or a summons, anyone know what will happen over this?

Likely get a court summons eventually when they track you down. Best approach would be contact the Garda in question or station they are based in.

If they find me then they find me, but I'm certainly not going to them :D

I'm no legal expert by any means (or at all) but what would worry me is a court summons, and missing that and them issuing a bench warrant for my arrest.

There is a legal discussion forum where they might know but they dont give legal advice - they might be able to answer in general

I actually was never stopped, I was either got by a Garda camera on a car or else got while I was parked in a supermacs car park. First I knew about the fine was when I got it in post, the address matched a supermacs I stopped in while travelling up the country months ago.

I'd follow it up, otherwise there could be a bench warrant out for you and you could be doing something as simple as arriving back in the country and be arrested at the airport.
