    Hey guys, recently moved appartment and while looking to get my deposit back from the estate agent I've got a response from them saying "We will need you to forward confirmation/proof of all outstanding water
    charges have been paid in full for the duration of your tenancy.

    The landlord cannot be responsible for water charges during your tenancy."

    Is this the norm? Are water charges still happening.

    Don't want to dodge anything or leave the owners in the lurch. Just want to see what's the best thing to do.

    Hi Corkboi,

    Thanks for your query.

    We can certainly help provide proof of payment, if you can confirm the following details by PM:

    - Name;
    - Address;
    - Contact number; and
    - Confirmation that you are the named account holder.

    Once we receive these details, we can verify your account and check your balance.

    Alternatively, you can email us on customerservice@water.ie, where a member of our team will also be able to provide you with proof of payment via email.

    Thanks,
    Mairead
