Desperately looking for some opinion on the above car. We need a bigger car but not necessarily more seats and we're quite taken with one. Its a 1.6diesel. Anyone any experience with same?

Try and get a 2.0 litre, much nicer to drive than 1.6 litre in a car that size. The 508 itself is basically a rebadge engineered Citroen C5 which is a good car.

Hi OP. Do you want to link to the car in question and you might get more comprehensive feedback.

I had a 1.6 for 2 years 70 k Klms and I found it economical, reliable and a nice place to be with the panoramic sunroof. I only traded because I found the car a little low getting in and out of but I'm well over 6 ft so you might not have the same sense.

Overall I'd buy another in a heartbeat except for the low seating position.

Best of luck with the purchase
