    Hi,
I have just passed my test. I see a medical report form is a requirement to get a full licence. How do I go about doing this? Do I need to go to a doctor? I wear contact lenses and had to get a eye test when I was getting my provisional do I have to do the same again when getting full licence?

You need to go to doctor for medical report. You might need eyesight report if your wearing contacts. It should say on the forms

You won't need a medical unless you answer yes to any driver fitness questions, unless you're over 70 or unless you mean you've passed a bus or truck test.

You won't ever again need an eyesight report unless your eyesight has improved to the point where you no longer need corrective lenses (eg if you've had laser surgery). If you need corrective lenses to drive you should declare you do and the '01' notation will be added to the back of your licence to denote that fact.

I passed my test two weeks ago for the c licence
And was planning to head to the NDLS in the morning to swap the catagory to my existing licenece
I cant understand why i need another medical cert ?
I had one done 3 months ago for the provisional c licence why would you need to do it again for adding this category to you existing licence ?

Madness isn't it. I've had 3 trips to the docs this year for medicals for D permit then D license/C permit then C license/CE permit. I've spent more time in the waiting room then with doctor

Hi how much each report cost you? I'm looking for affordable service if possible or should be from my GP?

Depends on your GP, some will do it for 20quid, others will charge you full whack for a consult.

It won't generally be an advertised price. Might be worth ringing your GPs office and asking the receptionist how much is it for the form to be filled and stamped.

Sorry to hear that, that's why I suggested ringing first. My GP down the country would redo scripts and a load of other minor things for free. The one before him used to hand out free scripts that he would get samples of from drug reps. no one appreciated how good he was until he was gone.
