Ikea gas hob repairs in Dublin

All, has anyone ever had an Ikea gas hob repaired in the Dublin area? Can you recommend anyone? One of the rings ignites but immediately goes out. I've tried a couple of the appliance repair services but they either don't respond or don't follow up.
    Thanks
    John

A lot of the appliances have a 5 year warranty. Are you covered?

Thanks for the reply- it's out of warranty. Got an appliance repair crowd to look and had it fixed in about 10 seconds 😀

It's obviously after the event at this stage but did you get a registered gas installer (RGI) to look at it? An 'appliance repair crowd' sounds like a bunch of lads who spend most of their time fixing washing machines. Legally only an RGI can install or repair a gas appliance.

    Hi John,

We've just moved into our new home and are having the exact same problem with our IKEA gas hob. Do you have any more detail on what the problem was and how they fixed it. Just want to know what to expect in terms of repair and cost. Did they need to replace anything?

Hi there, I called a gas appliance repair company and the engineer diagnosed a loose connection from the ignition switch. I wasn't there when he called around but he had it sorted in about 5 minutes and the charge was 60 including VAT and it has worked fine since so 60 lids well spent. I'm a service engineer in a different sector myself but wouldn't touch gas. P.m. me for repair company name of you want it.
