Cost to replace an oil boiler?

I am in the process of getting my oil boiler replaced, and wanted to get some views on the costs I am being quoted.
I have already purchased the boiler (grant Euroflame), flue kit and the pump.
The boiler will be located in the same place, small number of fittings and pipe work will need updating as well.
I got a quote for the above, which includes the removal of the old boiler and flue, the install a new fuel filter, a new remote fire valve fitted to the fuel supply line, system flush, addition of rust inhibitor and the boiler commissioning to activate the warranty properly etc for €950 (vat incl). Is 950 the normal rate for such a job ? I got a second quote and that came in at €1200 + vat but this was more of a ball park quote not put into writing. Both guys are OFTEC registered as well. Would appreciate any thoughts on this as my head is done in thinking it over ?

    Hi
Just wondering how you got on with this job.
I want to do more or less the same thing myself but don't know weather to let the OFTEC installer supply the new condensing boiler as well as the fitting of it.
    Quotation was €2700 in total?
Power flush, new remote fire valve new oil filter removal of old boiler and flue and install new Grant and standard low level Flue.

    Any advice welcome.
    Thanks.

A plumber friend quoted to supply & fit a bath. homeowner realised that the plumber added on 10 percent so he sourced one himself & paid my friend to fit it. My friend installed it & tested it. He leaves the protective plastic on so homeowner can't blame him for scratches etc. Homeowner removed the plastic & a little chip came away with it. Suppliers say its their fault & they sent out a new bath. Homeowner wasn't happy when my friend said they would have to pay for his time to replace the bath again. Tiler wanted paying again as the bottom row of tiles had to be removed. Suppliers only provided a free bath. If the plumber provided the bath he would have paid the tiler out of his own pocket and fitted the 2nd bath for free.

In my opinion unless you are saying a fortune I'd let the installer supply the boiler. The buck stops with him that way
