Permenant Job Offer after starting new temporary position

Hi. I am new here and would like some advise. Basically I started with Deutsche Bank a week and a half ago. It is a temporary position working for an agency. To cut a long story short, the recruitment process was a nightmare that I almost stopped a few times because it was so frustrating. After over 5 weeks, they wanted me to start straight away which I could not do. I had a hospital appointment. Eventually they relented and I could start the next day after. I eventually after all the problems started. The temporary contract is only for 3 months and will be rolled over if things work out. I don't live far from the office.

The last week and a half has been a roller coaster. The people I go to lunch with are very nice but the girl I will be working beside is strange. The first few days she was very chatty but the last week she has basically ignored me. In the first few days she was very helpful but in the last week she has asked me just to check forms that should have been checked a long time ago. Basically I have been helping out with the backlog. I don't mind at all as I want to show motivation.

However I found out on Friday that she is going away for 3 days this week and I am doing here work for her. All of a sudden there was panic on Friday afternoon as they found I did not have my systems and I had to ring IT etc and get myself organised. I could not sort out the problems as it was too late for systems to be installed but the manager made it out that it was my fault that I did not have everything. I just thought during the weekend that for all the forms etc they could have done this before Friday afternoon and ensuring there was no chaos. Along with this the manager who I did not meet at my interview has not talked to me since the beginning.

In the meantime I have received a permenant job offer from a company in South Dublin starting next Monday week. It will be in a project/client excellence role which I am interested in. I won't be paid by the hour as I am now but be paid a salary directly. The main issue I have will be the commute as I live in North County Dublin. I am thinking of speaking to my manager tomorrow and going through any issues I have.

Sorry for rambling. However I would love to hear what people would do in such a situation. Thanks

    No brainer.

You'd be utterly insane to stay with a spit 'em out bank like DB on a temp contract over a permanent contract elsewhere. If your contract is temporary they can and will replace you with ease.

Go for the full time position.

Definitely this, go with the permanent position, if after the trial period ends and they don't keep you, you'll be wishing you took the other.

    Yeh spot on.

A company like Deutsche don't give a shít about you realistically so I'd just pack it in with them straight away. They get tonnes of applications daily so they'll be fine. . .

Thanks for the responses. Yep, gave in my notice today. Even my manager in DB advised me that it is nearly impossible for her or others to move anywhere. It is a very stagnant environment. Does not sound like one to stay in!!
