What do you always have in the car?

Might not be a bad idea too see what others are carrying in there cars for emergencies or other!

For myself, it's a can of Tyreweld, for any punctures. Don't fancy risking my life trying to change a flat on a motorway. Have a can of interior cleaning for when I have spare time to clean down a few interior bits.

Friend of mine keeps 50€ in the car in case he needs fuel and forgets wallet.

Suppose there's the usual shopping bags, phone charges, aux cables.

Its actually held on the underside of the boot with 4 bungee straps taking up very little room and has been used to bring impromptu purchases like a sofa home

There are a few things I remember now that I missed off the first list..
    Camera
    Head Torch
Tape measure > handy to check if something will fit fit the roof rack
    Blanket
    Tarpaulin
Several Sporkes (a cross between a spoon and a fork handy for takeaways)
Phone (keep an old one in the dash for emergencies)
    Gloves
    Binoculars
    Fire extinguisher
Emergency seat belt cutter and window breaking tool (attached to drivers sun shield)
    Hand wipes
USB charger that fits the cigarette lighter

And thats about it except for an organiser bag I keep some useful bits in that are so useful I've forgotten what they are. Seem to remember there's a full can of radweld in there and a can of tyreweld.

It is actually due a tidy up as I used both socket sets when I changed the alternator recently and because they were fitted into a recess under the carpet in the boot I pulled everything out to get at them and haven't put it all back in its "home" yet.

It really is surprising how much you can fit in around things. The spare tyre for example has plenty of space under it and around it for roadside emergency stuff. The trick is to wrap it all up and secure it so it doesn't rattle.

The kids, a few dogs, even more dog leads, 7 empty plastic bags, empty crisp packets, half empty can of coke, a pen that does not work, 3 coats, odd socks.

I seriously need to clean out the car.

If i ever break down I hope you're driving past.

    Baby wipes
    Sun Tan lotion(Factor 10)
    Tyre Foam
    Sun Glasses(numerous)
    Brush
    Bags for shopping.
    Pens
    A size 12 spanner(I genuinely don't know why I put that there)

You'll be OK as long as the misses isn't with me, when she is in the car she expressly forbids me to help any motorists stranded on the side of the road, probably because I stop too often to help out.

I keep a friends bra in the car... not for any reason other than the fact that it fell out of her bag one day and got lost behind the back seats, when I found it I put in in the glove box so I could give it back to her. It's been in the glove box for a couple of years now and is a lucky charm & a running joke between us... It even got swapped over when I changed cars.
