    Hi all,

I have a loft ladder from aldi, and because of improper use, it fell a while ago.
I don't know how to fix it now, I can see two plastic black things that are screwed to the attic's floor. They seem to be the rail for the ladder, but I weren't able to re-install it.

I have attached a photo of the ladder and the rail.
    Any ideas, please? Thanks!

Going purely by the photos the achor points for that attic ladder look very cheap. I would invest in a proper attic stairs and have it installed by an installer. That was just an accident waiting to happen and you avoided a serious injury.

Replace and make the hatch airtight

There the aluminum ones yea? There crap tbh, never last. There handy to install as you don't have to make a bigger hatch but imo your better off using a good quality wooden one, a little harder to install but will last you longer.

I bought the house about a year ago, and I have seen a lot of messy things that the previous owner did in the past.. anyway, I was thinking on re-install the ladder rather than replacing it, but I am not sure how. I am not very handy with this things.. :(
