hi all, just bought an opel corsa 03,owner said radio is not working, after a bit of research found that he changed the battery,so a code was needed, found the code on car pass card that came with the car, great, but after 3 attempts still says safe on the dash,im down to 6-safe now, thing is i tried both codes that were on the car pass card, the security code, and the cd changer code, both 4 digit codes, none worked,i checked the vin number with on the card with the car,its same, i have 6 attempts left,i believe after 10 i can bin the radio.i followed instructions on radio manual, and waited the 20 mins until 6 ---- came up etc,and no joy,so am i doing it right or what?, should i leave it for an opel dealer to do it?thanks

Problem with the coding chip in the radio maybe. Bring it to a car radio shop that does radio repairs or replace the radio altogether.

What model no. is written on front face of the radio. There is every possibility that the radio is not the original for the car

Security code I'd guess. If you do end up bringing it anywhere don't take it to a main dealer, take it somewhere that re-codes radios.

Most likely radio was replaced with a similar model. Try removing it and you may be lucky to have code written on the lid.
