    Hi all,

Is there any Irish banks that will allow me open a new bank account (current account or quick access savings account, but not my main account for wages or DDs etc) with a UK address?

    Yes, all of them.

A recently introduced Basic Payment Account act requires all EU banks to open an account if you have proof of EU citizenship.

All the bank is obliged to open is a basic current account but sometimes you can get more.

There are sometime terms attached to Basic Payment Accounts. EBS has no terms attached. I suggest you open an EBS Money Manager current account.
