    Anyone going to this?
There was some super Bulls at it last year. Any Angus breeders on here know if it'll be as good this year?

I got a catalogue in the post alright, but I'm not in the market for an Angus bull this year. Hopefully Bellview will have a bit of news for us;)

If the seat's wet, sit on yer hat, a cool head is better than a wet ar5e.

Ya can't complain, weighed weanlings in late Oct and they have performed well on no meal. Milk kgs have slipped a bit in the Aug proof though. Hopefully will come back up again as more people start weighing calves at birth. At present I'd say I've very few bulls being born at 45kg. The standard 40 and 45kg at birth goes against smaller breeds. Can't win them all.

I won't make it this year unfortunately first time in a long time as I often did some shopping there. Mrs Bellview has me prebooked and I can't get out... The boss man will be there. I had a good look at cat alright. A lot of breeding will suit suckler.. some of bloodlines not my liking.. but that said it is the best sale quality in both bull and female in Ireland.

There is also a heifer being offered by Holland family for Crumlin so hopefully a good price will be received.

If you take a jeep and trailer from Wexford to Carrick-on shannon it's going to cost you the guts of a €100 in diesel, so you might as well buy something when you are there.:D Over 80 lots in the catalogue.

Had to leave after about twenty Bulls were sold, not as many big prices as last year, think there was only two Bulls over 4K at that stage.
Wouldn't mind having this lady around the place, anyone know what she made?

Just spoke with the boss man. Female trade was crazy. Reserve champ from Appleby made 8300. The champ from differ made 5100. There were a number of heifers made over 4 and 5 know. The bull trade was also strong with average of around 3k. There are some photos on Irish angus Facebook with prices. Once I see cat I will share more

Yeah, had to leave myself. I took notice of her too at the stalls. There was some standout stock in fairness.

Don't know about that, didn't know anything about her just thought she was a beauty. Some price for her.
From a commercial point of view I'm always very impressed by cattle off BJG. I think I might try him on a cow or two next year.

Big cattle off him only advice I would give is on a mature cow. I know of two pedigree cows that failed to calve him. Any son of his are only suited for suckler as in a dairy farm they will keep the vets really busy
