Integration with Homekit

I've a single WeMo Insight that I wanted to use for testing Apple's homekit. I've had it a while, great gadget and works reliably, but there's no support for Homekit integration due to hardware requirements enforced by Apple.

There is however an open source solution (Isn't there always?). HomeBridge acts as an intermediary to facilitate non standard IoT devices to be bridged into HomeKit. All the details are available here.

    So how did it work?

    Quite nicely actually. ;)

    Pros:
I can use the HomeKit app on my iPhone to control non compliant devices.
Install and configuration was straight forward.
Hey Siri works just as it should.
Configurable features (depends on the original feature set)

    Cons.
The device running the homebridge must be always on - (I used a Mac, but will likely invest in a Raspberry to run it)
    Slight technical learning curve.
Everytime I play the video, Siri activates :D
