    Hi

    Just wondering if anyone has any wxperience working as a CO with an garda siochanna in a garda station? Just been offered a job and am on the fence

    friends wife has worked as CO in garda for years...best job ever...go for it...

    I did this for about a year.
    I was assigned to a District with a Superintendent at the helm.

    It was mainly typing statements, letters and interview transcripts. I got to work on documents for a high-profile murder case while I was working there, the content of those can be hard going at times. I found the Gardaí very pleasant to work with.

    Overall I'd recommend it! The only reason I left was I was a temporary CO and my contract was coming to an end, but I'd accepted an offer of a permanent job also.

    I worked in AGS for couple of years in both I.T. and HR. I enjoyed I.T but I have to say I found HR to be the most unprofessional section I ever worked in, senior management in there very poor and weak.

    Working in Garda Stations can be very hit and miss, some can be great, others no so. Do you know what station you are going to be assigned to.

    Not for certain. Its in limerick city but wont recieve exact station until after christmas

    I worked in Garda Station as a TCO for 10 months and loved it. People very easy to work with. Found the work interesting too.

    Hi.. I have been placed as tco in the garda station but need to complete garda vetting. The address on the personal information part of the form is wrong and it won't let me change. Did anyone have this problem or know how to change it?

    I think you have to get onto the vetting department and they need to send out a new link
