We are heading to Las Plamas for christmas.
Has anyone any experience of this?? Particularly loooking for dining suggestion on the 24/25th as we understand, the 24th will be busy and the 25th quiet.

I went to Fuerteventura for Christmas one year, had a great time but Christmas day itself was dead. Went to Christmas dinner that the tour operator had organised, it wasn't brilliant but a bit of craic was had. Make sure to book something though because not everywhere is open.

For a few hours of beauty, tranquility and modest exercise in between visits to the feeding trough consider go up to the botanic gardens in Santa Brigida.

If you dont have a car then get the local bus up to the top of the university and walk up the main road towards S.B. - its on the right. Otherwise get a country bus ( branded 'Global' either to S.B. or to San Mateo ) and ask to be let off at the Botanico stop.
