    Hi guys,

I'm looking for a TV for my elderly parents. Probably around 40 to 43 inch. Need to be able to get Irish and UK free to air channels and ability to record to a hard drive.

Doesn't need to be fancy. User friendly would be important.

What do you have that can be delivered to Cork? Budget around €400 to €500.

    Thanks

    P

    Hi Preacherman,

Licking up to the folks? You're making me feel guilty! :o

Our very best deal on a 40-43" at the moment is on the LG 43UH603 - this is a 4K HDR Ultra HD TV at is now reduced to just £369 + £6.99 P & P/ €469 including shipping - for that money its simply unbeatable.

It will get Saorview channels no problem but if you want to get UK channels you will have to have a set-top box ( ie UPC / Virgin / Sky) this is the same for all TV's - it does however have a built in free to air satellite tuner which will receive UK channels but you will need a dish!

You can check it out here:
    http://www.lg.com/uk/tvs/lg-43UH603V

And its on our site for purchase here:
    http://euro.richersounds.ie/p-202276-43quot-4k-smart-tv.aspx

Again the Yoyo pricing includes delivery and our 6 year warranty,

Thanks again and keep me posted if we can assist,

    ATVB,

    Thanks John,

I'm looking on your site now and comparing these two...

Other than screen size are they comparable TV's?

    Preacherman,

apologies for the delay getting back to you - the Hisense is a 4K Ultra HD TV whilst the LG is a HD TV so whilst its not always the case with HD V's UHD TV I think that I would prefer the Hisense - unfortunately we are completely out of stock of it at the moment and it doesnt look like it will be back into stock until early January.

Apologies again for the delay and keep us posted if we can assist in any way,

Hi John, thanks for coming back to me.

I can't see the Hisense online now but how about this TV? http://www.richersounds.ie/p-202311-40m2600.aspx

I know it's cheaper and may not have as many features but will it fit the original criteria from first post?

Thanks again John , I really appreciate your help on this.

The 40M2600 would be ideal and its a nice TV - it does not have a satellite tuner built in - How do your folks receive their UK channels normally - do they have a set-top box? I need to know that as if they don't have any way of picking up the UK channels they will need a TV with a satellite tuner built in?

    Keep me posted,

    Hi John,

They have a triax combo box to get UK free to air and Saorview. There's a dish and arial on the roof.

I think the combo box is a bit clunky for them and the channels need re tuning every now and then. I was hoping to eliminate the box and have the channels auto update so ideally a satellite tuner built in.

What have you got? I'm looking at your site now and the LG seems to be gone as well as the Hisense. I'll wait until January if I have to for the right TV.

    Thanks again..
