Split the difference and add 10 and I reckon that'll be your age....

I never really moved beyond 12.

    Which is a problem.

Because I'm supposed to be 41 you see.

3 years ago I reckon I felt maybe 10 years younger, now I feel 5 years older.

At this rate another if I last another 9 years I'll probably feel like a centenarian....

Careful, that would make you a misogynist by default.

(They hunt misogynists around these parts)

Is this the little girl i carried?
Is this the little boy at play?
    I don't remember growing older,
    When did they?
When did she get to be a beauty?
When did he grow to be so tall?
Wasn't it yesterday when they were small?

    Sunrise sunset, sunrise, sunset,
    Swiftly flow the days

I'm 33. In my head, normally I'm around 22 but if Im in my parents house, I'm about 16.

The first thing I do when I enter my parents house is go and have a look in the fridge just to see if my mam got anything good in the shopping :)

My brother is 34 but he still carries on like a 12 year old. Lives with our parents, doesn't cook, clean, or do any washing. Can't even handle his finances without a lot of help.

I feel about right for my age. There are times I want to be younger and times I want to be older, but generally I am bang on the money for my age.
    I think.

Went for a job last year and they printed out your photo ID just after the interview.

I wondered how they'd got a picture of my Dad :(

    Mirror in February

The day dawns, with scent of must and rain,
Of opened soil, dark trees, dry bedroom air.
Under the fading lamp, half dressed -- my brain
Idling on some compulsive fantasy --
I towel my shaven jaw and stop, and stare,
Riveted by a dark exhausted eye,
    A dry downturning mouth.

It seems again that it is time to learn,
In this untiring, crumbling place of growth
To which, for the time being, I return.
Now plainly in the mirror of my soul
I read that I have looked my last on youth

And little more; for they are not made whole
That reach the age of Christ.

Below my window the wakening trees,
Hacked clean for better bearing, stand defaced
    Suffering their brute necessities;
And how should the flesh not quail, that span for span
Is mutilated more? In slow distaste
I fold my towel with what grace I can,
Not young, and not renewable, but man.

Is it wrong that I laughed out loud at that...?

I still have this awkward, weird social anxiety that makes me feel like I'm 17-I don't know why that age. I just don't feel like I ever escaped that mental state-and it ticks me off to be honest. Any time I feel insulted, or mocked, I go back to that feeling of 17.

    I'm a good 10+ years over that.

    I'm technically 34¾, but I'm really only 14.

ive been stuck on 12 for a while now...its becoming problematic :D

    It's contextual. If I'm in a situation where I'm unsure of myself, then I'm 15. If I'm in a situation where I'm fairly confident, I'm 21.

    Technically I'm 29.
