    Hi guys,
Im conducting a research proposal for my degree in IT Carlow. My research proposal question is an inquiry into the availability of communication based programs/intervention for individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder in contemporary Ireland.

I'm just wondering could you help me out and be able to point me in the right direction to relevant information/statistics on this topic?

    Thanking you,

Autism Ireland may be a source of information on therapies and interventions.

You may also wish to review Maria Makrygianni and Phil Reed in A meta-analytic review of the effectiveness of behavioural early intervention programs for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Research in Autism Spectrum Disorders, Volume 4, Issue 4, October–December 2010, Pages 577–593.

Mary Rose Sweeney of DCU school of nursing reported that autism affects 1% of Irish population. You may want to read her study, or perhaps contact her?
