Bored 11yo watches TV all the time especially now it's Winter, short days. Particular problem at weekends. Tried voluntary rationing but always breaks down as hard to monitor. Wondering if there's an App anyone's used successfully on a smart TV (android). Wouldn't mind subscription product if it worked.....

Any info or advise greatly appreciated.

Has he/she no other interests? You need to swap out the TV time with something else. Your child is obviously bored if they're watching that much TV. Have a chat with your child and find out if they would like to take up a sport, musical instrument, etc.
