    Hey folks,

Are there any decent electric grinders for under €200?

I've a good hand grinder that I mainly use for my espresso machine but would be great if I could go electric without spending an absolute fortune.

    Cheers.

People seem to rage about Sage pro grinder its on amazon for around 179 me thinks. Some got it for 99 pounds..

It works out around 212 euro though, but you might get something in Jan sales?

I'll throw this into the mix: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Graef-CM-800-grinder-aluminium/dp/B00CS2DAEG

Have it about 3-4 months now and pretty happy with it. There's 40 settings on it and it looks and feels sturdy. I ordered from Amazon.de and it was cheaper than uk store.

I have the Graef CM700 grinder for about 18 months now and also got it from amazon.de , €150 delivered. Can recommend it as a first burr grinder for sure.

Some advice from someone who has now bought 3 grinders in 3 years :)

None of the sub €200 grinders can really grind for espresso properly.

The sage is a good buy for the money, but won't really cut up higher end lighter roasts or most of the single origins.

Honestly, you would save a fortune and go for a vario, buts it's seriously expensive, about 400, but this is the best home specific grinder IMO.

The baratz sette will hit Europe in a month or two, and from the initial reviews looks like a replacement for the Vario at about €350, so I would hold out until they are in Europe.

If I knew this three years ago I would have saved a fortune :)
