Cement dye advice

    Hi,

Anybody ever use or have experience with the 1kg cans of cement dye ?
They say to mix by weight not volume

But I am not 10% sure if you dry mix the dye with the Irish cement or the concrete mix first? Instructions are a little misleading. It does sound like dry mix with the bag of cement but want to be sure first.

    Thanks for your help

The dye is strong stuff so don't spill or get it on your hands.
Can't remember the quantities but it is more important to keep the ratios the same from one batch to the next.
So if a 1kg of dye does 100kg of cement use 250g per 25kg bag.
Use a consistent amount of sand. Amount of water depends on the sand and the wetness of the mix you want.
When I used it, if I was mixing by hand (shovel) I added to the dry mix and if using a mixer, I mixed as usual and added it when adding the cement.
