Rubber seal for car window

Hi Can someone advise me please.

I have a Toyota Yaris 2005 and the car door window won't roll up or down properly as it gets stuck on the rubber seal. Toyota dealer in Cork quoted me something ridiculous, almost €100 and that's only for the part!

I cannot close the window at all now and I tell ye, I'm frozen with the cold!:(

Have you tried using something like Autoglym Vinyl & Rubber care? It softens the rubber and might do the job after treatment. You should get wet wipes and run them inside the gap between the glass and the bodywork inside and outside, that should help too if there's blockages caused by debris.

Thanks I could try that, but I just had a look again and it appears the rubber part is quite crumpled up from the window rolling up and down

A can a wd40 silicone spray will sort that in a jiffy.

Worth a try...So ye don't think it needs replacing considering it's kinda a bit bunched up and crooked? The autoglyn may be better than the wd40 perhaps. Sorry bout the stupid questions, I'm thick when it comes to cars :((
