    Is it possible to lift silage bales with a bale lifter and not burst them

    Of course. If they were very saggy, you might find it harder but should be fine.

    it works ok

    Lifted 8 and bursted 3, so was happy enough

    If they're stacked on their ends I used pull them over with a rope or strap and then lift them with the bale handler. It worked the finest.

    Had a dozen bales left from where they were stacked last year in a field - was able to tip them over, pick up and transport home without any damage to them.
