Shellac - can colour be changed?

Had shellac colour put on my nails an hour ago - my first time getting shellac. Now realise the colour is too bright for me to live with for two weeks :-(. If I went back to the salon could they do anything (equivalent to putting a darker red on top), or is it a complete remove the shellac and reapply?

Complete remove and reapply (and repay!) You can just paint over it with regular polish. And easily take it off with nail polish remover at any time, the shellac won't come of unless it's pure acetone remover.

Or you could ask nicely! They might oblige

If not, just paint over yourself. It will last well over shellac

Passed by another branch of the salon this afternoon, called in and asked the questions ... The very nice manager put another layer of darker colour & top coat on, no charge. Delighted!
