    Hello everyone,

I have a 4l4c hatz engine running a machine but lately in the morning time i have to jump start it (every morning), I have fitted a new battery it's perfect and the alternator is charging (14.4v) once it's jumped it runs fine and can be turned off and will start again durning that day no problem.
It has me slightly confused with the new battery, alternator working all the connections have been checked and there all good to.
Has anyone ever had a problem like this or can anyone shed any light on this issue any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Sounds like theres a big drain on the battery overnight whats connected to it. if u disconnect battery overnight does it start fine

Maybe you have a starter motor problem or the battery may not be big enough. Has this issue only developed due to the cold weather?

I disconnected the battery this evening so I'll know Monday morning, nothing new electrical has been fitted to cause a drain on the battery, I had thought the same but I'll know more Monday, thanks for the reply

This I think is what I'm going to do is get the starter reconditioned and hopefully see does it fix the issue, I'll let you know what happens,
The battery is new and the same size Ah of the one that was in it previously and never had a problem, the problem only started about a week ago so yeah I'd say the cold weather may have had effected it but I think the starter is the next step
    Thanks for the reply.

Just getting back to you, I went in this morning and connected the battery up and went to start it and it just about turned over once the battery tested perfect so I jumped it and it started fine and worked perfect all day without having to be jumped once,
I think I'm going to get the starter reconditioned and hopefully that sorts it.
