Years ago the way it worked was they brought us in to the canteen and we watched a video about health and safety and were given an info pack with lanyard and info on contracts etc. Then we were given a tour of shop and stockrooms. Think we were free to go after that. If your down for womenswear then you will probably just be given clothes from fitting rooms and told to replenish stock out on the floor to get to grips with where everything is. You'll probably be introduced to someone working on the floor who will be your go to person if you need anything. I wouldn't stress too much about it, they know you're new so won't expect you to be running the floor or anything :) congrats on the job and good luck with the busy Christmas shifts :D
