Well heres one for ya, a lc with nearly 300k miles was offe red to me, around e5000. Its full toyota history, 2 owner, 5 seat crewcab, auto. In good nick, but makes quite a din on startup, lasts for 15 mins, been at that for past year, body and inside good and clean, done little pulling.my mileage is modest, but need a pulling 4x4. Is this thing flaked out, or worth a punt?

If it was maintained properly, that mileage wouldn't discourage me. But, when it's achieved that mileage it must have been looked after relatively well ;)

I sold a passat 3 years ago with 310k miles and it was running like the first day I bought it.

When in Tanzania the vehicle of choice for safari was Land Cruisers all with similar mileage; primarily on gravel roads and driven hard.

I wouldn't pay 5 for it but it wouldn't bother me to buy it after I had a mechanic give it a good look over.
