noise on my roof

hi i hear anoise when i in bed around 3 in the morning it sounds like something walking its heavy its not rats because its slow walking and heavy it goes the full length of the roof and back again it may go for awhile but comes back again could anyone tell me what it might be ive looked out the velux windows with a torch…

I often get seagulls on the flat dormer roof. Clop clop clop.
THe neighbours' cats often go across, but they don't make a sound. Told you the second one there, so that you know that cats are probably not the culprit.
