Was browsing Seiko Irish web page for some info when this caught my eye.

So went looking to see they do a black dial

Can't find any decent pics video shows it better

Very tempted I haven't bought a new watch in a long time and I have no dressy watch since my last Seiko Chrono went AWOL. They both really appeal white dial with blue just looks classy. Really like the speedy like sub dials on the other. Would love both but have to choose. Can get the white dial for about €130 from creation black dial is 6/7 more. Thoughts?

If it has to be either/or then my vote goes for the white face.

The correct answer however is to buy both.

Another vote for the white face here.

I quite like the black face one with black leather strap for a more dress watch look but hey it's the Christmas season get both...

Normally I'd be the black dial without much debate, but in that Seiko's case, I'd be agreeing with the white. A Longines chrono, the model escapes, also led me to a similar thought.

Rejoice in the awareness of feeling stupid, for that’s how you end up learning new things. If you’re not aware you’re stupid, you probably are.

    White all the way

White for me too. That is a very neat looking dial. The black one is a wee bit harder to read.

Same normally prefer black dials. I briefly favoured it but with this model white looks nicer. Wish I could find better pics of the black. (How do supposed professional photographers take such crap pics for websites) Would prefer an auto but a chrono one is way out of my budget. Would be nice to have a white dial for a change and the two other watches I want to get in the long term have black dials.

Watchshop.com are doing it for €164 which is probably around what I'd end up paying from creation. It's €289 on Irish site anyone know if they still do a discount if you have an old seiko that's not reparable?

Any suggestions for an auto in similar style white textured or porcelain dial, blued hands preferably on leather? Would probably stretch to €200.
Spotted two others on Creation I like.

€160 before tax and would need to buy a strap too

Bit different but I like it and only €133, think it might to big for my skinny wrists though. It seems massive for a tank watch at 35.7mm x 44mm

Stretching the budget at $195 but has Miyota 9015 and enamel dial (I think).

It might be a bit late, but another vote for the white face here. It's clearer and more striking.

As Wesley Snipes says in 'Passenger 57', always bet on black. Seems I'm in the minority here though : D

for me it would be white, its a cleaner dial and as a dress watch will look better

White. The blue hands are easier to read than the silver hands with silver chrono dials on the black dial. That's just my opinion from the photo, but the black dial just might look better in the flesh.

    Was it this Longines Wibbs?

Just be careful with a chrono, they might not look as good when it's not 10 to 2 or 10 past 10!

I'm a sucker for black watches so I vote for the black face. But get both. You're worth it.

Seen the white faced watch in Galway yesterday. It is really nice.
289 in the jewelers. Tempted myself through creation.
They also do one with gold numbers and hands. Lovely too.

It's not a really white face as your first picture shows, slightly off white and the textured face makes it darker. Great watch for the price...go for it!

really nice watches, don't like date windows positioned like that but otherwise looks very good

Well it only took a year! Just ordered the white dial on creation, had dropped a bit in price and 8% discount code took it to €112. Was sorely tempted to stretch to the skx007 for €160. I could do with a dressier watch though and and already have an Orange monster diver. Hopefully in another 12 months :D
