    Hi,

Hoping for some advise here. I have my own private well that I recently bore and had the water tested since. The test turned up ok as far as quality/taste is concerned however it has been brought to my attention that the water has an odour . The odour being sulphur, afaik it doesn't effect the quality just has a smell. The tester said some areas have this issue. He's to come back to me with advice on how to remedy the issue.

I'm just posting to see if anyone on here has experienced this before . I haven't yet built my pump house but the well is in place with submersible pump attached. Looking to know what the best course of action is to take. Thanks .

As with any water filtration a complete water analysis report is required for accurate assessment/specification.

hydrogen sulphide can be removed with carbon, or manganese greensand (filox) filters depending on levels, water properties, required flowrates etc.
